Ahmed Musa wins ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ award at The Ballers Award 2021

Muslim News Nigeria June 13, 2022

Super Eagles captain and Turkish Super Lig Club Fatih Karagumruk forward, Ahmed Musa has emerged winner of Humanitarian of the Year award at The Ballers Awards 2021.

Musa picked the award due to his charity works which include building a multi-billion naira international school in Jos and giving out scholarships worth over N2 billion to less privileged children.

An elated Musa, who won the 2020 Nigerian Muslim Celebrity of the Year award posted the good news on his verified Twitter handle, saying:“I am honored to be a recipient of this award. Being recognized for my charity work is one of the highest honour a person can wish for.”

“I thank the entire Nigerian football stakeholders, fans and the jury for counting me worthy of this. And special thanks to the organizers for putting the award show together. God bless.”

Musa was a second half substitute as the Super Eagles trounced Sao Tome & Principe 10-0 on Monday afternoon at the Grand Stade D’Agadir in Morocco, meaning the Eagles maintained their 100% start to the 2023 AFCON qualifying campaign, with the Nigerian captain registering two assists.

The Ballers Awards is an annual awards ceremony where worthy and deserving Nigerian football stakeholders are recognized and awarded in different categories.
