Ilorin Indigenes Honour NASFAT Youthwing to Commemorate 2022 Annual Conference

The indigenes of Ilorin, Kwara State, have honoured the youthwing of Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), a fast-growing Islamic society, to commemorate its annual conference.
The annual conference themed, โRemodeling the Leadershipโ, began, amid tight security, on Thursday June 9th with a press conference and ended on Monday June 13, 2022.

Dignitaries at the event cut across all walks of life, among them was Hon. Kehinde Olaosebikan, who represented the Minister of Youth and Sports. While declaring the conference open, he spoke about what leadership entails.
Decked in their white and blue uniform attire, NASFAT Asalatu Group Worldwide organized a special morning service in the town central mosque on Sunday June 12, 2022.


The early morning service was coordinated by the Stateโs Zonal Missioner, Asheikh Alhaji Abdullahi Alli Alaya.
This was followed by a training session facilitated by the Regional Director, Chartered Institute Of Leadership and Governors U.S.A, Nigeria chapter, Dr. Segun Ojarotunde.
Dr. Ojarotunde trained the youth in leadership skills with some key points on how to become a good leader.
While appreciating the society for the opportunity granted him to speak at this yearโs event, he commended all the youth for their behaviour throughout the training session.
โIt shows in your character and behaviour that you are willing to learn and ready for the future leadership tasks as well as challenges,โ Dr. Ojarotunde said.
Also speaking, the NASFAT President, represented by Barrister Tajudeen Amusa, expressed his excitement as he joined the youth in the annual event.
He stated that NASFAT youth exemplified good comportment, and they are being trained to become trustworthy leaders in the future.
He stressed, โWith events like this, we are seriously concerned about the realization of that objective โ building trust-worthy leaders who will rule this country conscientiously.โ
While speaking about the theme, Nasfat National Ameer, Hajj Muhammad Raji Abdul Kabeer, stated that he was glad to see a large number of youth attend the programme.
According to him, this huge volume of attendance is symptomatic of their consciousness about the leadership of this country.
Also speaking, the NASFAT President, represented by Barrister Tajudeen Amusa, expressed his excitement as he joined the youth in the annual event.
He stated that NASFAT youth exemplified good comportment, and they are being trained to become trustworthy leaders in the future.
He stressed, โWith events like this, we are seriously concerned about the realization of that objective โ building trust-worthy leaders who will rule this country conscientiously.โ

While speaking about the theme, Nasfat National Ameer, Hajj Muhammad Raji Abdul Kabeer, stated that he was glad to see a large number of youth attend the programme.
He explained that the theme for the programme was painstakingly chosen to further reinstate the need to โreshape, re-strategize, re-build our ideologies and always think beyond the boxโ.
In her speech, Hajjia Kafayat Oyewแป-Oyelere commended the organizing committee.
She stated that โthis yearโs conference was so colourful, from the event arena, foods and all the programmes organized.
โI must sincerely appreciate all the delegates for your cooperation,โ she said.

Part of the activities at this yearโs programme ware a group excursion to Ilorin central mosque and the Emirate palace, general cleanliness of the community (CRS) and free medical check-up.
The youth were gladly received and taken around the palace by the Central Planning Committee Chairman, Hajj Lasisi Abdullahi Abiola, who gave some historical facts about the places visited.

He also appreciated all the members including those in the diaspora, urging them to remain good ambassadors of NASFAT and their society.
Also Nasfat youth engaged in the general cleaning of the Ilorin community and the conduct of free medical check-ups and treatment for the community people.
More dignitaries at the event included the representative of the State governor, Alh. Ibrahim Subair Dan-Maigoro, Emir of Ilorin ably represented by Alh. Dr Atolagbe (Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin), and Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare represented by Alh. Hon. Kehinde Olaosebikan.
Our correspondents at the three-day event reported that, others personalities present at the conference were NASFAT President, Alh. Mumin Olaniyi Yusuf whom Barr. Tajudeen Amusa (NEC Ex-Officio) stood in for, Prof. Hussein O. B. Oloyede (Pioneer V.C of FUO), representative of the BOT Chairman, Alhaji Banji Sarumoh (Fmr. NASFAT President), NCOE Chairman rep. by Alh. Abubakar Abu Salami (Fmr NASFAT President), NASFAT Executive Secretary, Mr. Abd. Rahman Adogie, and NASFAT Security Secretary, Alh. Shola Garba.
The highlight of the event was the special appearance of Mr. Adekunle Adeyanju, the Nigerian who rode from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.
Mr. Adeyanju shared his experience with the NASFAT Youth on how he survived during his journey in the jungle, urging the youth โnot to relent, no matter the circumstances or challenges that may come their waysโ.
