Missing 400 Level Fountain University Student Found

Hadiza Salami, a 400 Level student of Fountain University, Osogbo, who was declared missing on Friday, July 22, has been found.
Hadiza was reportedly found in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, 600 kilometres from Osogbo, where she reportedly touched down from Abuja.
In a release, the Public Relations Officer of the university, Taoheed Alimi, confirmed that Hadiza has been found.
Alimi said in a statement on Monday that “On behalf of the management of Fountain University, Osogbo, I write to inform the general public that one of our students, Hadiza Salami who was recently declared missing has been found.
“Miss Salami was found unhurt, thanks to the effort of the security operatives and of course, the wide range of support received from the general public.
“While she is currently receiving all the necessary care and attention at relevant quarters for her to resume her regular activity, we want to thank the general public for the solidarity given to us.
“The management of the university, therefore, urges all to please stop any form of publicity indicating that she is still missing.
“Once again, on behalf of the management and the parents of Miss Salami, I wish to thank the Nigerian Police force and other security operatives, the press as well as the general public for the show of solidarity.”
Hadiza had departed Abuja on Friday, July 22, 2022, to meet up with school resumption and the driver had informed her mother that she arrived in Osogbo safely.
Confirming the disappearance then, the Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemis Opalola stated that the driver reported the case at Dugbe Police Station on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
According to Opalola, the driver had made sure she alighted at Igbona before driving away.
“Hadiza’s mother called the driver to inform him that her daughter had not been seen in school and she did not get to school.
“Hadiza’s number after several calls put forward to it was being forwarded and her course mates also confirmed that she was not seen around school.
“I have asked that the photo and details of the missing girl be made available to my office so we can forward same to all media houses for notification,” the police spokesman said.
She also revealed that operatives have made efforts to track her phone.
