There’s an adage that goes thus “Train your offsprings in the way of The Almighty and he/she shall never depart from it…”. This exactly could be the bedrock standing strongly behind the story of this secondary school Muslim student.
AZEEZAT ADELABU, is a Student Of Community Senior Grammar School, Ipaja, Lagos. She Saw an Android Phone on her way to school, picked it and gave it to her teacher who in turn reached out to the owner, who was desperately searching for the lost Phone.The owner was overwhelmed with Joy, surprised that such a child still exists.
The Tutor General/PS, Barrister Mrs. Titilayo Solarin saw her worthy of being celebrated. So invited her and her Parents. Azeezat was celebrated with lots of prayers and was surprised with a handsome reward for her Honesty.
It was Tears Of Joy as she received the Cash Gift with her Parents.
In her words, Barr. Solarin said, “This should be an encouragement for other students, be honest always and always know that whatever is not yours is not yours, so don’t take it”.
” Be content with whatever you have as your own and always adhere to your parents upbringing for they brought you into this world and surely, they can’t leave you to go astray, so always listen to their teachings including your teachers as well for they are your second parents at school”.
She however, advised parents as well to be good role models to their their children and other peoples’ children by guiding them aright at every given time, because these children know nothing but whatever that are instill in them, will in a long run be the results, parents will receive. Therefore, be good, worthy of emulation parents, who will be honoured by your children’s conducts and attitudes in all aspects of life.
This is the kind of trait in personality that should celebrated for the attitudinal change we all are clamouring for in this country for the brighter future of the younger generation. Let’s catch them and encourage while they are young…
