Kidnappers Strike In Epe, Abducts Woman, Demand N10m Ransom

August 9, 2022

Yet again, a case of Kidnap has occurred in the serene and peaceful town of Epe, as a trader, Aminat Folorunsho-Balogun was abducted on Sunday 7.

Lasilkiin.com reports that security agencies have been urged to beef up security in Epe and its environs following the kidnap of a trader, Hajia Aminat Folorunsho-Balogun on Sunday.

This call was made by family members of the abducted woman who disclosed that the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N10m in order to release her.

It would be recalled that Hajia Aminat Taiwo Folorunsho-Balogun was kidnapped between 09:00 to 09:30 pm at Lagos road, Plywood Junction, Epe, Lagos state by unknown men.

It was gathered that the men who pretended to be customers came to her shop to buy drinking water and later turned out to be the kidnapping gangsters.

The husband of the kidnapped woman who spoke with newsmen in Epe, on Monday, called on well-meaning individuals to come to their rescue in order to get the woman released from the abductors.

He said that the demand of N50m was made to the family at the beginning of the negotiation but later agreed to collect the sum of N10m.

Efforts were made to plead for a ransom of N2m but were outrightly rejected by the men.

The family who solicited credible information from the public toward her rescue called on Governments at all levels to come to their aid and get the woman out of their den.

Efforts to get Police reaction to the kidnap last night proved abortive, as the spokesman of the state police command could not be reached at press time.
