The Missioner of the Ikotun Branch of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, Dr. Ashamu Abdulrasheed has advised members of the socio-religious organisation to “hold tight to the rope of faith” no matter the challenges life throws at them,
This statement was made during the weekly Asalatu earlier this week, the Islamic Scholar said being steadfast and resolute in prayer, dedication and reliance on Allah SWT, as the Creator of the Earth, the Heavens and everything therein, remains the ultimate in the Deen.
This admonition preceded a three-week prayer session the missioner unveiled at the branch, with Special Khutbah that featured Suratul Rahman and Suratul Yaasin after the completion of the Yah-Lateef invocation.

Speaking with the NASFAT Ikotun Editorial Crew, the Missioner however emphasised that “while prayer is non-negotiable, as it helps in easing one’s path, it is also incumbent on the Ummah to be diligent in their respective callings.
” There are no two ways about it. Prayer is the only miracle that Allah has promised the mankind. It is the only magic that can be invoked to change the cause of destiny from bad to good.
“However, the Ummahs are also enjoined to be steadfast and dedicated in their trades and callings. They should pray hard, but work harder at all times. Prayer work faster when we have something doing and are good and diligent at it, ” he said.
