August 24, 2022
The members of Nasfat Youth wing (NYW) Imota Branch under Lagos Zone 1 visited Isiu Primary Care centre yesterday as part of the annual HIJRAH programmes, this year’s programme coincided with the 10th year anniversary.
To commemorate the Hijrah 1444 AH the youths deemed it fit to visit the Nursing Mothers to enlighten them on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding of their babies for its enormous benefits to both mother and new babies.
According to the Amir of the Youth wing, Salaudeen Ayuba Adewale, ” It is necessary and ideal for mothers to breast feed their new babies for at least two years or one and half years exclusively as recommended in the Holy Qur’an.”
He further advised the nursing mothers to always make their children their best friends ever, always have listening ears anytime the children need their attention and always try to check on them at school to avoid bad company/peer group pressure because the future of the children lies in the hands of their parents and they should always try to pray for the better Future of their children.
In his own words, the youth head of Dawah admonished the nursing mothers to try and know the kind of friends their children keep so as to avoid bad influence.
The high point of the visitation is presentation of some items to the health care centre.
The Matron in charge of the Health Care Centre appreciated the gestures made by the NASFAT youth while the nursing mothers also lend their voices with prayers and acknowledged their presence and gifts and for celebrating with them by showing them some love.
