A non-profit organisation, Halal Standards Development Trust, HASDAT established at ensuring a safe environment for Farms and Livestock operations, is putting up a symposium with the theme: Sustainable Safe and Wholesome Red Meat for Lagos and Valued Favour for Export.
According to HASDAT, Red Meat Value Chain includes live animals, fresh meat, processed meat products and by products from cattle, sheep and goats.

Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State, Ms Abisola Olusanya, an accomplished professional with extensive industry and international exposure in Food and Agro- supply has been invited as guest lecturer to present the Lead paper on the theme, the event which is scheduled to hold on Thursday 15th September, 2022 at the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry LCCI Ikeja Lagos,
HASDAT is an Agency of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, saddled with the responsibilities for the certification of Food Producers & Suppliers, Food Production, Processing & Distribution Centres, Restaurants, Meat Stores, Products, and Services, for Halal compliance.
