NASFAT Inaugurates New Branch in Lome, Togo

History was made over the weekend in Lome, Republic of Togo, when Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society, NASFAT, inaugurated her branch in Lome, making it the 179th inaugurated branch of the Society, in all, the Society has about 350 branches and groups worldwide.
As usual, the new executive officers to paddle the canoe of the branch were also sworn in on this day, Sunday 2nd October, 2022.
The new executive officers were made to take an oath of office with Qur’an 48:10 and in line with the constitution of Nasrul-Lāhi-l-Fātih Society.
A four-man team from the Headquarters comprising the Chief Missioner, Imam Morufu Abdul-Azeez Onike, Vice President 2, Prof. Rafiu Adegbola, and Nasfat Zonal Coordinating Committee, NAZOCC members: Brother Badmus Olayinka, Mr Alajiki and the National Da’wah Officer attended the event.
At the event, the Chief Missioner delivered a touching lecture which centred on making impacts in life by serving humanity using the HELD (Health, Education, Livelihood and Da’wah) policy of Nasrul-Lāhi-l-Fātih Society as a reference point.
He urged the new executive officers to focus on building learning centers, provision of empowerment opportunities for members, giving members access to free healthcare and holding Da’wah programmes that will improve the spiritual wellbeing of members.

He also enjoined members to be united, seek and follow good advice given by elders and maintain a good relationship with the Headquarters.
Also, Vice President 2, Prof. Adegbola who anchored the swearing-in process. In his speech, urged the new officers to work for the growth of NASFAT in Lome and to ensure that new branches and groups are created in the city in no distant time. He reminded the members present that NASFAT has rules and regulations and members, irrespective of their location, must abide by the rules and regulations in their operations.
The new Chairman of the branch, Alhaji Murtada Sanusi, in his speech, thanked the Headquarters for the support given for the success of the inauguration programme. He also expressed his appreciation to all members of NASFAT, Lome Branch, for picking him to be their leader. He sought the support and cooperation of all the new officers, and all members for the success of the new administration.
Altogether, nineteen officers were inaugurated at the event.
The ceremony was attended by eminent Muslim personalities in Lome, including the Vice President of The Muslim Council, Republic of Togo, Sheikh Sanni Karimou, Iya Adeen of Togo, Alhaja Rufai Sisi, representatives of various Islamic organisations in Togo, delegations from neighbouring NASFAT Branches and Zones, such as Abidjan Cote di’voire; Port Novo, Benin Republic; Jerico Cotonou, Benin Republic, Accra, Ghana amongst others.
