Train a woman and you train a nation. Seek knowledge even if it’s available in a place as far as China. Knowledge is power. An informed mind is a well guided soul.
These are words of motivation and courage that deliberately keep prompting the Nasfat women affairs management team to do more in ensuring that our female Muslims, our women learn to the words of Allah SWT in the Holy Qur’an/hadith of the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah continue to shower upon him) to memorise it and transfer the knowledge to others by way of teaching it, it is very more rewarding.
The National women affairs management committee Secretary, Alhaja Suwebat Bolakale Aduke Kupolati said this in her speech at this year Qur’anic and Quiz competition to mark the 23rd women’s week held at Town planning building, Alausa, Ikeja.
“It’s even more rewarding when we women continue to grow in dawah because women are the home builders, nation builders, the more knowledge they are able to acquire especially knowledge about the Creator will go a long way in helping to shape and reshape our society because a woman, a mother is a vital member of the family and a family is a unit of the components that make up the larger society, hence, NASFAT continue to encourage women to grow in dawah.”

This is why the NASFAT society has introduced the HELD policy touching the four areas of need of every individual and the society at large. There’s monthly dawah training where NASFAT wants to ensure that at least about 1,000 women are trained and equipped very well in dawah, so as to disseminate and enlighten the public more explicitly in simple terms and languages the words of Allah SWT among the women folk.
The essence of the competition is to make more women to embrace learning and understanding the correct ways of Qur’an recitation and memorization. She also used the opportunity to roll out the remaining activities of the women’s week programme which include raising fund to have a mother & child hospital.
About 30 contestants from virtually all NASFAT Zones participated in the competition both young and old.
