NAṢFAT WOMEN OF AL-JANNAH, WORTHY ROLE MODELS OF OUR TIME- Abdul-Ganiyy Raji
May 2, 2023 Fausiat Salako-Sanni
This fact-based, inspiring and morale-boosting piece you’re about to read is researched and written by the National Da’wah Officer/Mission Board Secretary Abdul-Ganiyy Raji and sent in to KIIN MEDIA in Ogun State.
“I have heard people say that NAṢFAT women are the true owners of NAṢFAT. While it is just enough to say that both male and female members of NAṢFAT are awesome as both are incredibly committed to the Society, it is also good to put up NAṢFAT women’s dedication as a worthy example for women who want to serve Allah with sincerity to emulate. Our mothers and sisters in NAṢFAT are committed promoters of Islam and devoted servants of Allah. Our women in NAṢFAT are known as WOMEN OF AL-JANNAH, which means Women of Paradise.”
These women are truly women of Al-Jannah. They are giving so much to Allah through NAṢFAT. I guess one of the reasons they are called the owners of NAṢFAT is that they turn up for NAṢFAT programmes more than men. Check most of the programmes of the Society, our women always outnumber their male counterparts.

The commitment of our women is second to none. NAṢFAT women across zones and branches are shining examples for their fellow women. Wherever you find a NAṢFAT woman, you find a woman who is not shy or ashamed to identify with Islam. You find a smart and intelligent woman. You find a woman who is a lover of learning.
“I have seen our women’s dedication and intelligence in action when they serve as committee members or committee heads. I have seen them plan, package or organise very beautiful programmes for the Society. I have seen some of them serve as able facilitators for our monthly Da’wah training. Some have also appeared as eloquent delegates of the Society on TV to speak about Islam, female education, roles of women in society, etc. Just name any field where intelligence and skills are needed, you will always see NAṢFAT women there. These women have also done extremely well in their chosen careers. Some of them are retired but are not tired, while some are still in active service.”
Our women combine both intelligence and commitment to Allah. They are ready to do anything for the sake of Allah. They take NAṢFAT like their personal property not because they are pursuing some personal goals, they simply love Allah.
Sometimes, when I think about how lucky we are to have these great and committed women, I just give thanks to Allah.
Younger generations of female Muslims have to adopt these women as role models. It’s incredible to see how they have done excellently well in their careers without forgetting to give a useful part of their time and resources to Allah. I can say that these women have succeeded on both mundane and religious levels.
With the current group of women that NAṢFAT has, we can confidently say that the Society is in safe hands and it is heading in the right direction. Bi idhni Llāhi ta’ālā.

May Allah forgive those who have died and preserve the ones that are still living upon īmān and in sound health.
