NASFAT Lagos Zone 2 Hosts Branch Secretaries Leadership Workshop

The Lagos Zone 2 of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT recently organized a highly successful Branch Secretaries Leadership Workshop. The event, held both online on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, and physically on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, brought together branch secretaries from various locations.
The theme of the workshop was “Branch Secretaries as Compliance Officers,” the workshop aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of branch Secretaries, while fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among participants.
According to Bro. Taoheed Eniola Mate, the Zonal Secretary of the Zone, he emphasized the importance of such retreat, where branch secretaries could convene, share ideas, and upskill themselves for improved performance.
The workshop witnessed the participation of distinguished panelists, including the National General Secretary of NASFAT, Alhaji Dauud Gbenga Sunmonu.
Commending the organizers, Alhaji Sunmonu expressed his expectation that other zones in Lagos State would embrace similar developmental programmes.
At the leadership workshop, keynote speakers addressed pertinent topics, shedding light on issues such as the illegality of bypassing channels of communication and strategies for maintaining harmonious relationships between secretaries and their superiors. These sessions provided valuable insights and guidance for the attendees.
A panel session focused on the NASFAT constitution, during which frequently asked questions from secretaries were addressed and discussed. This interactive session fostered a deeper understanding of the organization’s principles and guidelines among the participants.
Acknowledging the outstanding contributions of members within the zone, a special awards ceremony was held, recognizing those who had demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to NASFAT’s mission. The recipients of these awards were lauded for their exemplary services and received well-deserved recognition from their peers.
As the workshop drew to a close, participants were presented with certificates, symbolizing the knowledge and skills they had gained throughout the event.
