In Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society NASFAT as part of the administrative template, executives who are at the helms of affairs at every level, be it National, Zonal, Branch or Group/Outreach change baton of leadership at every two years tenure.
This is exactly what came up at the Dopemu-Agege Branch of the society under Lagos Zone 2, on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 28, Kadiri Street, Oniwaya road, Agege, Lagos where new set of 23 members of the BEC whose tenure shall runs from year July 2023 – July 2025 were inaugurated by the Zonal executive council.

In his opening speech, the Lagos Zone 2 Chairman, Alh. AbdulKareem Adeshina, expressed gratitude to the outgone executives for all their efforts geared towards Islam through Nasfat Dopemu-Agege Branch in their various capacities while he congratulated the newly selected members of the branch executive for Dopemu-Agege.
He however added that, there’s need to expand and spread the tentacles of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society in the nook and cranny of the larger society, so that more people can access Nasfat to enrich their DEEN by having more opportunities and outreaches to engage in Asalatu activities and many more laudable initiatives for humanity via the thrust policy, HELD.

“To this end I implore every member including the Mission Board to help look around for such available spaces and get across to the Zone for proper steps to be taken in achieving this, by taking dawah to everyone.”
Alh. Adeshina also advised the newly selected BEC members to be patient and tolerant, and importantly to know that it’s only Allah SWT that rewards efforts and deeds.”
“Lagos Zone 2 has 24 Zonal executives, 19 branches, 1 outreach and there’s need to increase these numbers so that Nasfat can be accessed by more, may Allah SWT make it easy” said the Zonal Chairman.

The message of the Zonal Women Affairs Management Secretary, Alhaja Busari Aishat Monsunmola goes thus.
“Alhamdullillah Rabilliallamin for the success of today’s inauguration. My piece of advice as a woman for the Branch women affairs Secretary, is that, firstly it’s established by Asalatu is dominated by women, because the womenfolk covers about 2/3 of the congregation, though we have man, the chairman as the overall head of the branch but the women Secretary has a very vital and bigger role to play in co-ordinating the affairs of the Asalatu, therefore, she needs to endure more, persevere more, be more patient.”

“In addition, she needs more humility to be able to co-ordinate the affairs of women so as to be successful in her tenure and most importantly, I will urge all the women in the executive and the branch to work together in harmony with the women affairs management Secretary for the good of all. She needs their cooperation for Dopemu-Agege Branch to continue to excel among other branches in the Zone and in Nasfat as a whole. May Allah SWT make the tasks ahead easy ones for her.”
The Zonal Missioner, Alh. Imam Dr. AbdulRasheed Adebimpe Ashamu’s admonition dwell on sincerity of purpose and serving Allah SWT in individual capacity without expecting returns from human beings rather expect to earn the rewards from Allah especially in the Hereafter.

The outgoing Branch Chairman, Alh. Lukmon Shoyooye Moyosore in an interview with KIIN MEDIA correspondent at the event expressed his joy for the peaceful transition.
“I feel excited, so humbled, honoured and thank Allah SWT for seeing us through from the inception of this particular tenure which started in… we’re grateful for His mercy and guidance throughout the tenure and making possible for us to achieve especially moving from a rented apartment (a mosque given by Ahmadiyah) and to having a place, the branch can call its own, since 16th of October, 2022, though it wasn’t easy but Alhamdullillah Rabilliallamin for His grace.”

Alh. Shoyooye implored the Zonal and National executives to come to the aid of the Branch by way of offering grant to help complete the project, to move Islam forward through Nasfat Dopemu-Agege Branch.
He however advised the new BEC to work together as a team and follow the trend and template the branch has been working with. “That is, we started from a forming stage to developing stage and performing stage. The Branch is at the performing stage now, so the new BEC should work as a team to move the Branch forward beyond what we have done as a BEC, collaborate and do lots of consultations.”
