In a momentous ceremony that took place on Saturday August 5, 2023, Alhaja Modinat Ishola, the esteemed woman leader of the NASFAT Owutu Branch, was officially bestowed with the distinguished title of Iya Adinni.
This prestigious recognition was conferred upon her by the Asahadatul Azeeziyat Islamic Foundation, situated in Igboolomu, Ikorodu Lagos.
The event, which marked the foundation’s 20th anniversary, was graced by esteemed dignitaries who convened to celebrate this remarkable occasion.
Expressing her gratitude, Alhaja Modinat Ishola extended her heartfelt appreciation to Almighty Allah for granting her the privilege to partake in this groundbreaking event.
She humbly acknowledged Fadilat Sheikh Al-khalifa Bunyameen, the chief host, for deeming her worthy of this revered title.
Alhaja Modinat further conveyed her heartfelt thanks to her well-wishers, who made the effort to grace the occasion despite their demanding schedules.
“I extend my sincere appreciation to my esteemed Imam for bestowing upon me a place among those distinguished individuals deserving of this honourable title,” she stated.
She continued, “To my dear well-wishers, your presence resonates deeply, underscoring the profound affection you hold for me.”
With conviction, the NASFAT Woman Leader shared, “I pledge that this title will not only strengthen my spiritual bond with Allah but also deepen my commitment to my faith.”
Alhaja Modinat concluded by attributing her devout Islamic journey to the integral influence of her late parents.
During the sermon, Sheikh Yahaya Samadani imparted words of wisdom to Alhaja Modinat and her fellow awardees, urging them to uphold piety, particularly now that they hold the esteemed position of Iya Adinni.
“In these roles, perpetuate the promotion of Islam and exemplify the essence of your faith,” he encouraged.
Adding his commendation, the Chief host, Sheikh Al-khalifa Bunyameen, lauded Alhaja Modinat’s noteworthy contributions to the advancement of the foundation’s growth and development.
Alhaja Modinat Ishola is renowned for her dedicated leadership within the NASFAT community, particularly at the Owutu Branch.
Her involvement has been pivotal in supporting countless NASFAT youth and members of the society through generous donations and empowerment programmes.
