It was amidst pomp and pageantry that NASFAT inaugurated a new National Executive Council (NEC) on Sunday at the NASFAT Islamic Centre, Asese, Ogun State
The event, witnessed by many faithful, saw the exchange of batons between the immediate past President, Mr Abdulmumin Olaniyi Yusuf, and the new President, Alhaji AbdulRauf Ayodeji AbdulWahid.
AbdulRauf, Vice President (1) of the society for many years, had worked as a member of the NEC under two past presidents like Engr. Kamil Bolarinwa (pioneer Chairman of KIIN media) and Mr. Olaniyi Yusuf, the indomitable past President of the society.
In his inaugural address, the new President commended his predecessor for outstanding achievements in office. He assured the society that his tenure would sustain the momentum and lead the organisation to even greater heights.
The occasion also witnessed the inauguration of other NEC members holding their offices for 2 – 4 years. Other members of the new NEC are:

In his valedictory remarks, the outgoing president, Olaniyi Yusuf, said he appreciated all members for their unalloyed support during his tenure and expressed confidence in the ability of the new NEC to get the society to a lofty height.
He hopes the society will continue to soar and all the organs achieve their objectives.
Present at the occasion were Chairman NASFAT BOT, Alh. Abdullateef Wale Olasupo; Vice Chairman BOT, Alh. Mikhail Banji Sarumo and other BOT members; Chairman National Council of Elders, NCOE, Alh. Yunus Saliu; the vice, Alh. Dr. Seriki; Secretary NCOE, Alhaja Nofisat Arogundade and other members of the Elders Council; the Chief Missioner of the society, Imam Morufu AbdulAzeez Onike and his deputy, Imam Abdullateef MohammedBello among other Mission board members, the Executive Secretary of NASFAT, Alh. AbdulRahman Adogie and other stakeholders in the society.
