NASFAT LZ1 organises sendforth for Imam Khidir

The mission board of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT Lagos Zone 1 under the stewardship of the Zonal Missioner, Imam Barr. Uthman Muhammad Jaji has organised a sendforth and special prayer session for the Branch Missioner of Owutu Branch, Imam AbdulHakeem Owolabi Khidir, who is going on a transfer to NASFAT Maryland Branch in the USA.
The two sessions were held during the weekly Asalatu on Sunday, February 19th, 2024 at his current Branch, Owutu, Ikorodu, Lagos. The lecture titled “Result of doing good” was delivered by Surulere Branch Missioner, Imam AbdulWaheed Mustapha Genty.
The occasion witnessed the presence and participation of all the Lead Missioners in Lagos Zone 1.
According to the ZM, Imam Barr. Uthman Muhammad Jaji, the essence of the two sessions is to collectively praise Allah SWT and thank Him for His mercies upon Imam AbdulHakeem Owolabi Khidir.
“We are here today to celebrate and rejoice with one of us for the elevation in the work of Dawah and to honour him for his efforts in the cause of Allah, having served NASFAT diligently and efficiently.”
“We can only ask Allah SWT to reward him more in both worlds.”
The high point of the event was presentation of gifts by the Branch Executive Council, BEC, through the Branch Chairman, Alh. Moshood Ojuolape and the Branch Women Affairs Secretary, BWAS, Alhaja Modinat Iyabo Ishola while gifts by other committees were also presented to Imam Khidir.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the Chief Missioner of the society, Imam Morufu AbdulAzeez Onike joined the Imams, members of Owutu Branch, friends and families of Imam AbdulHakeem Khidir Owolabi to commend him for his selfless services and wish him success in his new branch in the USA.
Imam AbdulHakeem Khidir Owolabi was one of the candidates who was successfully screened last year for a transfer to some of the branches of NASFAT in the USA. Other Imams who were successful at the screening exercise and are qualified to take up the responsibility as well shall be joining him soon.
AbdulAzeez-Onike added that, “We commend the Zonal Missioner, Imam Barr. Uthman Muhammad Jaji and all Imams in Lagos Zone 1 for deeming it fit to honour one of their most humble colleagues, who has put in several years of exemplary lifestyle and landmark framework in the work of the Dawah for the society.”
In her own remarks, the BWAS, Alhaja Modinat Ishola said “we will really miss our Missioner but we pray he succeeds in his higher assignment In Sha’a Allah Biqudrotillah.”
Imam AbdulHakeem Khidir Owolabi however appreciated everyone for the honour, prayers and gifts presented to him and also offered supplications for Owutu Branch and all the stakeholders to the branch members for their show of love. He also expressed his profound gratitude to all his colleagues in the Zonal Mission Board especially the Zonal Missioner, Imam Barr. Uthman Muhammad Jaji for the initiative during his tenure.
He promised to always uphold and hold onto the rope of Allah and pray Allah SWT assists him succeed in the new Branch in another environment he is being transferred to.
Some of the Branch Missioners who graced the occasion include Imams Mustapha Akinpelu of Oworo-Ifako Branch; AbdulHakeem Isa Akorede; Abdulhakeem Alaran; Saheed Oladele. Others are Imams Sahjayi; Qozim Abdurazak from Ikorodu, Imam Ahmad Abdurahman of Maryland Branch; AbdurRafhi Adeyemi from Agiliti, Bolaji Saliu, Musa Bello Aladota, Onaopepo of Imota, Ibrahim Hassan among others and Imam Isiaq who also gave the vote of thanks.
