Hardship: Customs set to distribute forfeited food items to Nigerians

In order to reduce the impact of Hunger and rising costs of foodstuffs in the country the Nigeria customs service is Set to distribute forfeited food items to Nigerians .
This is contained in a press statement issued by chief Superintendent of customs and National public relations officer of Nigeria customs service, Abdullahi Maiwada.
Chief Superintendent Maiwada also stated that the Modalities for the disposal will be communicated through the NCS formation Nationwide with a firm commitment to transparency, fairness and public safety.
“In response to the critical challenges of food security and soaring costs of the essential food items in Nigeria, the Comptroller General of customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi reaffirms his commitment to advancing president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s food security Agenda. This commitment is deeply rooted in the NCS’s core mandate of serving the best interests of the Nigerian people, thereby fostering Economic stability and prosperity ”–The statement said.
The Nigeria customs service has also assured that the service remains resolute in its dedication to pave the way for a more prosperous future for the country .
