He said this on Friday, February 23, 2024 in a statement released by the office of the CM in Lagos State.
Details of the statement below:
NASFAT CHIEF MISSIONER’S ADVICE TO NIGERIAN YOUTH.
BE DYNAMIC AND RELEVANT: GET A GLOBAL MARKET-DEMAND SKILL.
As part of strategies to whether the economic storm ravaging the country and some other part of the world, I wish to advise the Nigerian youth that, while hoping in Allah (swt) for the positive turn of events in the economic situation of the country, every youth should make himself/herself a global asset and citizen, whose skills can be sought from anywhere across the globe, and who would have the opportunity of working in-person or remotely.
Our Holy Scripture says, “ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوۡا مَا بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡؕ
“Verily, Allah does not change a people’s condition unless they change their inner selves”
وَاَنۡ لَّيۡسَ لِلۡاِنۡسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰىۙ
(53:39) and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for”
I therefore advise you to consider the possibility of acquiring global market-demand skills such as in telemedicine and healthcare, consulting, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Journalism, UI/UX Design, Digital Media etc.
I pray to Allah (swt) to bless our efforts.
Imam Onike
NASFAT Chief Missioner.
