The Chief Missioner of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT, Imam Morufu AbdulAzeez Onike has eulogised Alh. Isiaq Ajibola, Chairman of Lasilkiin Communications Limited (KIIN Media), for taking care of his mother who answered the call of Allah in late January.
Onike made this known through the society’s Missioner of Lokoja Branch, Ustaz Barrister Yusuf Jamiu, who represented him at the 40 days Fidau prayer ceremony of late Fatima Yusuf-Ajibola, on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Ife-Olukotun, Kogi State.
In his admonition, the CM called on Muslim faithful to take care of their aged parents, as well as be steadfast in the religion, so that they would be able to give pleasing account of their stewardship to the Almighty Allah on the day of judgement.
The Chief Imam of Ife-Olukotun, Sheik Zakariyau Suleiman, emphasised the concept of praying for one’s dead parents in an appropriate manner and ways as prescribed by Allah SWT in His religion, Islam.
He however warned, “Do not be involved in idolatry activities, idolisation of relatives with worldly things instead of praying for the repose of their souls is not the ideal way of giving the dead ones a befitting burial.”
“Rather organising prayers and providing beneficial projects like digging well which will be providing water where it’s needed, planting a tree whose branches can serve as as shade for people, writing educational, knowledge-driven books among others, are few of the things that can be done for humanity in communities that will stand as everlasting, rewarding deeds for the departed souls, in as much as people make use of these things, the reward will be recorded for the dead, in whose names the projects are provided.”
He commended Alh. Isiaq Ajibola, who holds the traditional titles of ‘Akogun’ and the ‘Jagunmolu Adinni’ of Ife-Olukotun for his activities towards the growth of Islam and the general development of the town.
The event witnessed the presence of many faithful, traditional rulers, representatives of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and well-wishers from different walks of life.
