Man lands in Police net over vandalism on 3rd Mainland Bridge

A 46-year-old Friday Nwafor, was on Wednesday arrested by the officials of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) for allegedly vandalising the road light indicators on the newly renovated Third Mainland Bridge.
Jubril Gawat, a senior special assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu confirmed this on his verified official X handle (formerly Twitter), stating that Nwafor was arrested on Tuesday and immediately handed over to the police.
Gawat stated, “Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) apprehended a road infrastructure vandal who was vandalising the newly constructed 3rd Mainland Bridge road light indicators.
“The incident occurred early this Tuesday morning, May 7th 2024, at exactly 8:00am when the LNSC @OfficialLNSC officers were on patrol to Lagos Mainland inward Oworo and it’s environ that they noticed the suspect tampering with and damaging the road light indicators.”
“The suspect was identified as Mr Friday Nwafor, a 46-year-old male resident of Lagos who was immediately taken into our custody and handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Mr Adegoke Fayoade.”
