NAṢFAT Women engage in CSR activities to host communities

In continuation of the lined of activities for the 24th NAṢFAT National annual Women’s Week which started on Sunday, November 12, 2023. The women affairs management committee of the society has embarked on a community social responsibility (CSR) by cleaning mosques around the, Agidingbi, Ikeja environ.
The charity and sanitation exercise were held at two different mosque in the area. The Agidingbi Central Mosque and the extension of the Lagos Workers Central Mosque, Alausa were cleaned today.
The women affairs Secretary, Alhaja Suwebah Bola Kupolati said the significance of the exercise is to follow the teachings of Islam which encourages keeping the house of God where His worship is taken place tidy always and this execrice is domesticated in all the Zones, Branches and groups/outreaches of the society.
“This is not the first time the women will be coming out to engage in such CSR, but this is special because it’s dedicated to the celebration of the on-going 24th Women’s Week for the year 2023. The women management does this cleaning of the mosques exercise every month specifically every month that has 5 Sundays, the 5th Sunday has been set aside by the society for this exercise.”
“It’s the injunction of Allah SWT that we purify our soul, our body and our environment hence, NAṢFAT doing this as a routine. It’s a way of giving back to the Muslim community and the society at large. More interesting thing is the fact that, the women of Al-Janah of Nasfat are always willing, ready to do this act of Ibadah with all their heart. May Allah SWT continue to reward all the women of Al-Janah of Nasfat.”
The Chairperson for that Charity Committee, Alhaja Hamdalat Eshinlokun expressed her satisfaction and gratitude to the passionate involvement of the women of Al-Janah. “This has always been the response we’ve been receiving from the participants in this cause, it’s very impressive. I pray Allah SWT crown their efforts with abundant rewards in this world and the Hereafter. They’re indeed ever ready to serve their Creator and humanity. They really exhibited the qualities of practising Muslimahs, who choose to use their energy and time to serve Allah.”
The acting Chairperson of the overall planning committee, Alhaja Nurat Falana said, she is impressed on the smooth running of the activities and she is optimistic that all activities lined up for the week shall be done successfully.
In her own words, a member of the empowerment committee and one if the elders in the society, Alhaja Baderinwa thanked those who participated and implored more members to participate in the cause of Allah for no efforts made towards the cause of Allah ever go unrewarded.
In an interview with Kiin Media, the Ameer of Agidingbi Central Mosque, Imam AbdulSalam Sanni expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to NAṢFAT for being consistent in the charity exercise especially cleaning of Masjids.
“NAṢFAT has been doing this for a very long time, though other Islamic societies and organisations also do it but NAṢFAT has been consistent in this act.”Said the Ameer.
Some members of the community who came to observe Salat Zurh during the exercise also expressed their excitement as the mosque got transformation, had a new look and nice fragrance.
