Winners emerge in the NAṢFAT 24th Women’s Week Qur’an and Quiz competition

The NAṢFAT women management in conjunction with the Da’wah Committee and NAṢFAT Missionary Institute, NMI have held the final of the female participation in Qu’ran and Islamic knowledge competition on-line and a special Jummah Service session at Alausa in Lagos as well as at all locations NAṢFAT is domiciled worldwide in commemorating the 24th Women’s Week.
The on-line Qur’an and Islamic knowledge competition had about 45 participants from various Zones of the society who took part in the competition in 4 different categories.
The contestants in the category A for the Qur’an recitation read between Suratul Mulik – Nas while contestants in the Category B read between Suratul Nabbai – Nas and the contestants in the Category C read between Suratul Ala’a – Nas.
At the end of the 2nd round which signified the completion of the recitation and competition, the three co-ordinators/judges Imam Abdul-Ganny Raji, NAṢFAT National Da’wah Office, NDO; Imam Saheed Adekunle, Lead Missioner, NAṢFAT Ikoyi-Dolphin Outreach and Alhaji Ajiroba from NAṢFAT headquarters announced the emerged winners.
Winners were pronounced as follows in the Qur’an Competition:

Subsequently in the afternoon, the NAṢFAT women of Al-Janah converged at the Lagos State Workers Community Central Mosque, Alausa for the special Jummah service session.
The Chief Imam of the mosque, Imam Abdulgafar AbdulHakeem and some other mission board members of the mosque coordinated the session with special prayers for the women with words of admonition that, the women of NAṢFAT should continue to uphold all the teachings they are getting from Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society NASFAT.
“NAṢFAT is a society that’s propagating Da’wah with different programmes, it is not just focused on spirituality, it does programmes on health, livelihood for young and elderly, welfarism of humanity through Zakat distribution etc”.
He however challenged NAṢFAT to provide a mobile clinic at the Central Mosque, that will be put to use every jummah day.
“I want to implore the NAṢFAT to have a mobile clinic, that can provide first aid treatment for jummah congregants, in case of any eventuality. For instance, if anyone has headache or any emergency while in the environment during the jummah period, he or she can have where to go and get attended to before going home to see his/her doctor. It will be a thing of joy to me if people coming around for jummah every Friday can always point that, that’s NAṢFAT mobile clinic.”
Members of the society outside Lagos and Nigeria arrived for the special Jummat service and also for the remaining activities lined up for the long week programme. The first sets of Zones that arrived were Women of Al-Janah from Idiroko, Osun, Kwara, Cote D’Ivoire among others.
In her own message, the NAṢFAT National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Suwebah Bola Kupolati appreciated the women of Al-Janah for turning up for the programme and however unfolded the programmes that are still in the pipeline for the week.
Meanwhile, the Co-ordinator 3 from Cote D’Ivoire, Alhaja Simbiat Hussein
encouraged all NAṢFAT women of Al-Janah to continue to exhibit the virtue of tolerance and perseverance in all circumstances as Allah SWT hasn’t forgotten anyone.
The overall Chairperson for the 24th NAṢFAT women’s week planning committee, Alhaja Hafsah Funmi Adeola Aralepo spoke on the significance of the Jummat service and what all women stand to gain on the day of the grand finale day which has the theme, SUSTAINING HAPPINESS IN MARRIAGE: ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE that will take place on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at NAṢFAT Islamic Center, Aseese, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
