NASFAT Youth Wing holds 6th National Sisters’ Retreat in Lagos

The youth wing of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, NASFAT has organized its annual Sisters’ Retreat. The three days programme started on Friday, August 25 and ended on Sunday at Shamsi Thomas Adisa Memorial mosque, Ikeja.
The retreat witnessed the convergence of Muslimahs from various backgrounds for a weekend of enlightenment, empowerment, and sisterhood.
At a symposium held at the event with the theme “Beyond the Veil.” Esteemed professionals and experts were in attendance to share their insights and advice on the theme, providing a platform for meaningful discussions and personal growth.
The CEO, Egret Media Africa, Mrs. Mutiat Olagoke, the theme speaker, delivered an inspiring message, urging the delegates to recognize themselves as individuals with a special purpose beyond the veil. She commended the organizers for creating a programme that encourages sisters to come together and discuss issues that contribute to the development of their lives as Muslimahs.
A Principal Partner, Freedom Chambers, Barr. Ruqayyah Owolabi esq., one of the esteemed panelists, emphasized the importance of the retreat in reminding the sisters of the importance of being conscious of Allah always in all their dealings and be more focused on the reason for their creation.
She advised the delegates to fear Allah in their daily activities and strive to be exemplary Muslimahs in all aspects of their lives.
In her own presentation, the National financial Secretary of the Youth Wing, Hajia Arafat Bamigbade, highlighted the significance of the sisters’ retreat as a platform for training females who will go on to positively impact society. She encouraged the delegates to make judicious and utmost use of the knowledge and skills acquired during the retreat, emphasizing the importance of applying what they have learned in their everyday lives.
Other activities at retreat included sessions on health, marriage, and Janazah, providing the delegates with a well-rounded experience that addressed various aspects of their lives.
According to some of the participants at the event, the sisters’ retreat was a resounding success, which fostered an environment of learning, growth, and sisterhood and this enabled them left the retreat well-equipped with valuable insights and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Mar’yam Thaoban (Lawyer, CEO NobleHeart Children Foundation), Hajia Monsurat Vincent (Deputy Director, Other Financial Institutions, CBN, Lagos), Hajia Aminah Adams(TV/Radio/Public Speaker/Islamic OAP/Social worker/Accountant/ Certified Trainer), Dr. Olanloye Monsurat Kehinde, and Haija Kemi Bawa-Allah (Wellness Coach/CEO silence by SPA).
Other dignitaries were the former Nasfat National women affairs Secretary, Alhaja Faoziat Oladoja, Lagos Zone 2 women affairs Secretary Alhaja Aishat Busari, the women affairs Secretary, Nasfat Owutu Branch in Lagos Zone 1, Alhaja Modinat Ishola and some Ameerahs of the youth wing across the Zones in the society.
